Pulmonary hypertension: pathophysiology and novel therapies (HTAP)

Research unit

Description

Inserm UMR-S 999 is a major actor in national and international translational research on pulmonary hypertension, leading to major physiopathological, medical and surgical advances. It is subdivided into two research, physiopathological and clinical teams composed of researchers, clinicians and surgeons who have been working in synergy since 2010. Thanks to a national register of patients (National Reference Center for Severe Pulmonary Hypertension), a biobank of cells and tissues, and an internationally recognized expertise, the two teams are studying the mechanisms of pulmonary vascular remodeling and associated heart disease in humans, rodents and large animals.
