INRAE / Infectiologie Expérimentale des Rongeurs et Poissons (IERP)

Technological platform

Description

The main tasks of the collective scientific infrastructure IERP are the production of animals with a defined health and genetic status, the performance of in vivo experiments in infectiology and the phenotyping of infected animals by imaging. Within the framework of collaborative projects or services, the infrastructure carries out projects in infectiology, immunology, vaccinology, genetics, physiology and microbiology. Distributed in several buildings on the campus, our infrastructure carries out multi-species projects within a rodent animal facility for mouse and rat models and an experimental fish farm housing aquaculture species (trout and carp) and zebrafish. Each facility has containment laboratories (BSL2/3) equipped with advanced technologies (IVIS, bi-photon) for the imaging monitoring of infected animals.
