IJPB / Observatoire du végétal - Plateforme Chimie-Métabolisme

Technological platform

Description

The "Plant Observatory, Chemistry-Metabolism" platform proposes the quantification, characterisation and identification of chemical compounds in plants: plant hormones and other signalling molecules, central metabolites (sugars, amino acids, organic acids) or specialised metabolites (flavonoids, carotenoids, sphingolipids, glucosinolates, etc.), as well as compounds derived from the plant biomass (plant wall, polyphenols, etc.) It is based on the expertise of its staff in targeted and non-targeted plant chemistry analysis and data processing (statistics, molecular networks). It also relies on chromatography equipment, notably coupled with high-performance mass spectrometry (GC-MS, UPLC-MS/MS, UPLC-Q-TOF). The platform has established several industrial collaborations in recent years (LVMH, Syngenta, Nestlé, Sederma).
