The "CTPF-ICSN" Protein Thermostability Screening Platform offers the Thermal Shift Assay (TSA) technique for the study of protein targets of biological, therapeutic or industrial interest. TSA has demonstrated its importance for biochemical and structural biology studies and for the characterisation of protein-ligand interactions. The main applications developed on the platform concern the optimisation of protein stability conditions, the influence of mutations and deletions, and the search for and screening of ligands of interest. We are also developing TSA studies of protein macro-complexes and the stability of viral particles. The platform is located on the CNRS campus in Gif-sur-Yvette and is equipped with the latest technology. It offers academic and industrial clients services with full project management, as well as development activities and collaboration on research projects.
CTPF is now an integral part of C@PS, a platform that brings together all the screening activities on the Saclay plateau under a single banner, which was awarded the IBISA label at the end of 2018.)
C@PS combines the skills of i) the CCCHD platform (Joliot, CEA, Saclay) for high-throughput biological screening and the preparation of targeted chemical libraries, ii) the CIBLOT platform (Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Paris Sud, Châtenay-Malabry) for the measurement of protein/ligand interactions using alpha-screen technology and the quantification of cellular parameters, iii) the CIBI platform (ICSN, CNRS, Gif-sur-Yvette) for cytotoxicity measurements, protein/ligand interaction screening and in ovo screening and iv) the CTPF platform (ICSN, CNRS, Gif-sur-Yvette) for protein/ligand interaction measurements by thermal shift assay and transcriptome analysis by quantitative PCR.
