GALAXIES (Great beamLine for advanced X-ray Inelastic scattering and Electron Spectroscopy)

Description

The GALAXIES light line at the SOLEIL synchrotron is dedicated to inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) and high energy photoemission (HAXPES). These spectroscopic techniques are powerful probes of the electronic properties of materials. The light line is optimised to work in the energy range from 2.3 to 12 keV on an inverter source with excellent energy resolution and a micro-focused beam.
