Department of Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry

Research team

Description

The Department of Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry encompasses several research themes around two transversal axes: molecules of natural origin and the new therapeutic agents development.
The first axis includes the isolation, synthesis and study of the properties of compounds of various origins (marine, plant, micro-organisms...) in a context of valorization (pharmaceutical, cosmetic, agrochemical...) and comprehension ( chemical ecology, interactions between organisms...).
The second axis includes the design and development of new molecules for therapeutic purposes, in various fields such as antiparasitics, antibacterials, antifungals or anticancer agents.
