Plateforme Matériaux

The platform has a wide range of apparatus and equipment for the physical-chemical-mechanical analysis of solid state materials:
- physical characteristics, such as optical, magnetic, rheological properties can be studied
- the physical behaviour of materials as a function of temperature and time can be characterised by thermal analysis
- the microstructure of materials can be observed by optical microscopes and by a scanning electron microscope ( MEB ) equipped with an EDX analysis system
- the electrochemical behaviour and wet corrosion of alloys can be qualified
- the mechanical properties of the materials can be tested by tensile, micro-hardness, macro-hardness and Charpy sheep tests.
