Plateforme d'Analyse Protéomique de Paris Sud-Ouest (PAPPSO)
Technological platform
The objective of the Platform Analysisn Proteomics Paris Sud-Ouest (PAPPSO) is to provide the teams that contact it with equipment, scientific skills and know-how adapted to the questions posed, from the simplest (identification of proteins from a fully sequenced organism) to the most complex (relative or semi-absolute quantification of variations, dynamics of post-translational modifications, etc.), within the framework of collaborations and services.
PAPPSO brings together two complementary technical platforms. One, attached to the Quantitative Genetics and Evolution UMR, Le Moulon (Gif-sur-Yvette), is specialised in plant biology (model and cultivated species), and the other, attached to the Microbiology of Food for Health UMR (MICALIS, Jouy-en-Josas), is specialised in microbiology, animal biology (bovine and murine models) and, more occasionally, in human biology. Its latest generation equipment enables PAPPSO to offer mass spectrometry analyses, with or without pre-fractionation of proteins or peptides, and with or without isotopic labelling.
PAPPSO is specialised in high throughput (quantitative analysis of large cohorts), in the analysis of very complex samples (metaproteomics), and in peptidomics. It develops bioinformatics and data analysis tools to process this type of experiment, and assists users in the interpretation of their data.
