Technological platform
The Plateforme d'Intégration et de Tests (PIT) of the Observatoire de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is a technical platform of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), in co-supervision with the CNRS.
It is part of the national GIS PARADISE, which brings together the main French integration and testing facilities for instrumentation in the science of the universe
Within the GIS, it provides instrumental integration and mechanical testing facilities, some of which are in its own space. Thus, embedded instruments, space systems and various subsystems can follow their entire development, assembly and validation cycle at the OVSQ. The "space" oriented test facilities allow for the simulation of launches, atmospheric re-entries, orbital situations and Martian atmospheric conditions.
