Observatoire de Versailles St Quentin en Yvelines (OVSQ)

Research unit

Description

The Observatory of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (OVSQ) has 3 main missions:
- observe (surveillance of atmospheric composition, participation in spatial programs, instrument conception ...)
- train students and professionals (risk management ...)
- promote interdisciplinary research between the labs it gathers (LATMOS, LSCE and CEARC).
The Testing and Integration Platform (PIT) is necessary to the fullfilment of OVSQ's first mission. Its main goals are :
- coordinate activities linked to the development of observation systems (spatial, on ground or in situ)
- helping mutualize technical means necessary to the research work and technological development
- allowing access to instrumental integration and mechanical/thermal/optical testing means, some of which in clean rooms
