MTS / Métabolome - IDF

Technological platform

Description

Metabolome - IDF is a bi-site platform (SPI / LEMM, Department of Medicines and Technology for Health, Institut des sciences du vivant Frédéric Joliot, CEA Paris-Saclay, Gif-sur-Yvette and Institut Parisien de Chimie Moléculaire, Sorbonne Université Campus Pierre et Marie, Paris), labelled IBISA since 2010. The services it offers are based on metabolomic analysis by mass spectrometry. Several types of services can be provided: i) production of raw data - metabolomic fingerprints by low, high or ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry of biological media - or processed on the basis of mathematical and computer tools developed in the laboratory, ii) identification of metabolites (chemical library, > 900 chemical products and automatic queries of public databases) and iii) statistical and biological analyses of data (positioning of identified metabolites and their relative levels of concentration within known metabolic pathways).
Finally, Metabolome - IDF is the Ile-de-France geographical cluster of the INBS MetaboHUB, a national infrastructure that aims to provide cutting-edge technological tools and services in metabolomics and fluxomics to academic research teams and industrial partners in the fields of health, nutrition, agriculture, environment and biotechnology.
