The magnetic properties of single crystals or thin films can be studied by Vibrating Sample Magnemotry (VSM) or Kerr effect (MOKE).
Two VSM measurement devices are available at IRAMIS:
- a device at SPEC
- a device at the SPCSI
For research on low temperature superconductivity, or more generally on the electronic and magnetic properties of materials at very low temperatures, specific equipment is developed, such as the dilution magnetometer equipped with a SQUID
