INRIA Saclay Ile-de-France

Research unit

Description

INRIA Saclay-Ile de France is a research institute focused on computing science. It is a major actor in most the PIA plans (LabEx, EquipEx, IRT), has collaborated with many other entities in Saclay, and is particularily active in the following fields: data and knowledge safety, security and reliability modelling, simulation and optimisation (mainly as far as energy is concerned). The researchers and engineers have access to high-end equipment (image wall, high performance calculation cluster, sensor arrays), which allows INRIA Saclay to have strong partnerships with industrial entities, both in France and abroad.

Projects examples

- LiveGrid project : aims to make the Paris Saclay campus the basis for construction of an economic nexus in smart grids (estimated budget of 31 M? over 5 years). INRIA Saclay contributes to this project thanks to their knowledge in energy grids and their interactions with renewable energy, cyber-security and telecommunications.
