I2BC / Plateforme de microscopie électronique (I2BC - plateformes IMAGERIE-GIF)

Technological platform

Description

The Electron Microscopy platform offers the spatial resolution necessary to study cell ultrastructure and localisation, macromolecular organisations and molecular interactions within a cell or tissue. Due to its location within the Institute of Integrative Cell Biology (I2BC) and the University of Paris-Saclay, the electron microscopy platform has strong expertise in the study of various biological models (viruses, micro-organisms, animal and plant cells, tissues, etc.) but also in the characterisation of organic and inorganic synthetic particles and their interactions with living organisms. The two transmission electron microscopes have various configurations (cryo-MET, 3D tomography, EDS analysis) and adjoin a sample preparation laboratory which is also open to users. The platform's engineers offer expertise and advice for your experiments, and accompany you throughout your scientific project, from the development of the sample preparation protocol to the interpretation of the data.
