Large-scale experimental exploration of the chemical capacities of living organisms from the biodiversity of the prokaryotic world. The laboratory's work seeks to determine the function of enzymes involved in microbial metabolism and to discover new biocatalysts for applications in synthetic chemistry or metabolic engineering/synthetic biology.
