ECOSYS / Dispositif Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS)

ICOS, for Integrated Carbon Observation System, is a European research infrastructure dedicated to the observation and monitoring, over the long term (more than 20 years), of greenhouse gas flows. The Ecosystems component consists of a network of instrumented sites representing the main French vegetation types: grasslands, forests and crops. The site has been instrumented since 2005 and has been used to support projects such as CarboEurope and NitroEurope.
