DEIMOS, Dichroism Experimental Installation for Magneto-Optical Spectroscopy, is one of the light lines of the SOLEIL synchrotron. It is dedicated to the study of magnetic and electronic properties using polarised synchrotron radiation. The use of synchrotron radiation in the field of magnetism is based on the development of circularly and linearly polarised X-ray sources
