CTU (IEF MINERVE)

Technological platform

Description

In 2003, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research initiated the implementation of a large-scale programme entitled "National Network of Large Technology Centres for Basic Technological Research" (RTB). This network federates infrastructures and heavy means in micro and nanotechnology, spread over the national territory within 7 CNRS and CEA laboratories, of which the IEF and the CTU IEF-MINERVE are part. The RTB network centres were awarded the TGIR (Très Grand Instrument de Recherche) label by the Ministry of Research in 2009. They are strongly involved in technological development covering scientific skills ranging from materials to systems. Since 2003, the supporting laboratories have received a specific annual grant to acquire cutting-edge equipment and develop research in nanosciences and nanotechnologies at the highest level. At the same time, this network should enable all laboratories in the national community and industrialists to benefit from access to these resources.
